History
Doug Adkins established Adkins Milk Hauling, LLC in 1984 with one Mack truck. Doug hauled from farm to processing plant and served approximately 28 farms. From the beginning, Doug knew that missing a pickup or a delivery was simply not an option, and he did whatever it took to make his rounds.
As Doug’s reputation for dependability grew, so did Adkins Milk Hauling, LLC. In 1994, Doug saw an opportunity to pivot into a new niche so the company transitioned from hauling farm-to-processing plant to hauling between numerous processing plants locally and in the Midwest region.
Currently, Adkins has over 35 trailers and 27 tractors that pick up and deliver a variety of food grade products across the Midwest region of the country.
Doug and Sue continue to be actively involved in the business. Their son, Erik Adkins, joined the family business in 2010 and is actively involved in driving and dispatching.
